I didn't really feel like writing a post this evening.
A good friend of mine died this morning. I learned of his death a few hours ago. It wasn't unexpected, but it's still sad.
Then, just noodling through feeds, I came upon this post by Seth Godin, and it reminded me of Ray. Because it's about human kindness.
Like the person Seth implores us all to be, Ray was the kind of guy who always sat in the front row and made contact; who always gave the presenter a snack, called her a cab or made her feel like the trip was worthwhile. It all came down to the Golden Rule for Ray, and Seth's words made me smile thinking about him.
More about this good friend and mentor soon.

Tom, my heart is with you. Loss is loss even when anticipated.
I just finished a book I am surprised I read. Ever have that happen?
It is called "Dean and Me - a Love Story". Written by Jerry Lewis, it is the story of their partnership. Your brief posting reminded me a bit of the last chapter telling of Dean's death. The loss of someone you not only loved, but some one whose good in the world you knew first hand.

I am sorry to hear of your loss.
I do a business show on local radio Manday drive time, this weeks show is on mentoring. It is hard thing when one of our personal mentors goes.
I look forwar to reading what you have top say about him
