I know I've only blogged a tiny bit about it, but I'm starting to feel that TED2006 may be the best of the seven I've attended. When I finally do get around to writing about it here, maybe I'll be able to figure out why I feel that way.
For now, being Friday and all, a Featured Foto of Cliff Stoll will have to do.

Cliff Stoll is hardly an encouraging sign of a quality event. It's maybe been 10 years since I last saw him talk, but talk about someone who's had their 15 minutes and then some. Crank. Amusing, and then, well, frightening.

Well, Steve, don't be hasty in your assessment of the event. Stoll certainly wasn't the conference's highlight, by a longshot, but he was, indeed, amusing.
After today's closing session, I have to say I think this was the best TED I've ever attended, and among the top three conferences of any kind. I'll be writing more about why I feel that way over the next few days.
