There's big buzz around PodCasts, kind of like "homemade radio programs meet blogs." The venerable Doc Searls (one of the authors of The Cluetrain Manifesto) wrote about the rapidly moving developments here. If you're still interested, go take a look at Adam Curry's sites, including iPodder.org. I know this is a little geeky, but stay with me here.
What's terrifically appealing about these PodCasts is the voices of the folks recording them. These are not the slick voices of "on air talent," or some sanitized Clear Channel idea of a hot music mix. These are real people with the very appealing voice of authenticity...very much like what you're finding if you're reading any number of blogs today.
People are finding ways to express themselves in personal terms, and the difference between those expressions and the stuff we're currently calling reality is startling.
